No Event Scheduled. Members are encouraged to attend the Presidential Inauguration festivities at the Alameda Free Library on Oak St. Jan. 20 beginning at 7:30 AM.

February 19

Dinner Meeting 6:00 – 8:00 PM
Join GABA members and guests for hors d’oeuvres, dinner and an architectural presentation, at Aroma Restaurant. Alameda Sun city editor and local author Dennis Evanosky will give a presentation on the Island City's Victorian-era homes and businesses. He'll help you distinguish between a Stick-style and and Italianate home. Join us for an informative and lively presentation. Menu choices include, Roasted Beef Short Ribs, Sole Fillet w/ Artichoke & Crab Meat Sauce or Roasted Vegetable Napoleon. No host full bar is available.

The new year brought new tax laws, an economic stimulus package and a new state budget along with concerns for small businesses. Learn from tax expert Tom Johnson, how you can cope with all these changes, and some specifics that may impact your business. This event is free for GABA Members and $5.00 for other members of the business community. A light supper will be provided. Mixer from 6-6:45, presentation begins at 6:45. New Members will have an opportunity to boast and brag about their business with "Five Minutes of Fame" Location: Rooster's Roadhouse, 1700 Clement Ave. Alameda Cost is $20. for a buffet dinner and appetizers. No Host Bar.

The annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta Fundraising Dinner 6:00 – 8:00 PM

Installation of Officers Dinner.....6:00 – 8:00 PM

Witness the installation Harry Hartman of Hartman Insurance as the incoming President of GABA. Other officers include, Marianne Malenk, Secretary, and Wendy Mariani as Treasurer. Guest speaker for the evening will be Alameda City Manager, Ann Marie Gallant. Cost is $40.00 for members and guests and includes dinner, appetizers and no-host bar. Reservations are required.
